I am taking part in the Halloween Blog Hop. Follow the link above to check out some awesome blogs. As a writer I know how hard it is to get your book out there and to promote it. Most companies or sites charge a fortune for ads which have no guarantee of working. As a writer it is rare that you will have a huge amount of money set aside for advertising. I aim to keep running events throughout the year for authors to help them get noticed. I currently host the Facebook event Blood Moon Rising. This is a bi-annual event running in May and October. I sign up authors throughout the year and from reviews I have done. Each author is given a day during the event to promote themselves and their work with one catch - You cannot post a direct buy me link to your books. You can post a link to your website or Facebook page only. Authors post everything from Q and A's, book reviews, short stories, favorite music, books, TV shows - the list is endless. The idea is to engage your audience and tell your story. To check out the latest event: - https://www.facebook.com/events/1141740532506979/ Next month (Nov) I am running an event called Season of the Witch through this blog. It will feature authors of witch fiction and short stories throughout the month. It is something I plan to repeat although most likely with a different feature (e.g. werewolves, vampires). I hope people will join in and comment and share posts. The above events are currently free for authors. I also offer free reviews, as well as promotional offers for a low price. Check out the promotional offers for writers page for more info. Feel free to follow my blog so you can keep up to date with any new events and you can follow me on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/sam_skgregory. Comments are closed.
