1) Tell us about your book/series. I have wolf shifter series called White Wolf Pack. It’s about a pack that lives near the town of White Falls. Mates have been getting fewer and fewer over the years. There is another pack nearby and there is tension with them. Some say they caused the mate curse. 2) What type of shifter features in your books? Wolf shifters 3) What abilities do they have? They can turn into a wolf, a bipedal wolf creature, sensitive wolf hearing and smell, and speed healing. 4) If you could transform into an animal, what would you choose and why? Black panther. Not sure why, but I’ve always been drawn to that animal for years. S.R. Griffith lives in Southern USA. She’s a stay-at-home mom to four feral gremlins. 1) Tell us about your book/series. For millennia, Amethystine dragons have been banished from the Kalleen Kingdom, their very existence erased from the annals of history. But some claim, in the icy wastelands to which they were exiled, the Amethystines survived and waited for an opportunity to reclaim their land and birthright. To protect her kingdom from the wicked and powerful temples that challenge her rule, Dragon Queen Amelia ventures into the ice-swept mountains in search of legends. Flames of Kalleen is an adult epic fantasy romance set in the fantasy kingdom of Kalleen. Amelia, a dragon-shifter princess, must uncover ancient secrets in order to protect her kingdom from threats both within and outside of her boarders. Standing steadfast by her side is Amelia's loyal Captain Gwain, and her love Conner. There are currently 3 novels available in the series, with the forth and final novel set to release this fall. The first novel is titled Embracing the Dragon. 2) What type of shifter features in your books? There are 2 types of dragon shifters in the Flames of Kalleen series, Kalleen dragons and Amethystine dragons. Kalleen dragons take the form of a Wyvern, with two wings, two clawed back feet and two clawed short arms. They come in an array of colors including light blue, silver, bright green, and bright orange. Amethystine dragons have six feathered wings. They have short clawed arms, but their feet have cloven hooves. Inner flames can be seen glinting between feathers in their wings. All Amethystine dragons are varying shades of purple. 3) What abilities do they have? Both Amethystine dragons and Kalleen dragons can fly and breathe yellow fire. Rare royal dragons have the ability to breathe blue flames, which burn hotter than the yellow of non-royals. Royal dragon flames can burn non-royal dragons. 4) If you could transform into an animal, what would you choose and why? I'd LOVE to become a dragon! Though I doubt I'd fit in my apartment in that form! Lol A second choice would be a form of bird. I think flying would be fun! K.L. She wrote her first short story at the age of fifteen and grew up with an equally great love of both classical literature and speculative fiction. Bone has spent the last few years as a bit of a world traveler, living in California, London, and most recently, Belfast. When not immersed in words, of her own creation or studies, you’ll find her traveling to mythical sites that have inspired storytellers for generations. 1) Tell us about your book/series. The Others series follows a group of shifters as they navigated the fight for equality and finding love. 2) What type of shifter features in your books? The first novella, Swan’s Fury, Hannah is a beautiful swan. In Dragon’s Wrath, Ronan is a dragon. In Butterfly’s Strength we have Charlotte, a butterfly finding her mate in Josh, a were. There are also bears, big cats, and very many birds of prey as part of the cast. 3) What abilities do they have? When in human form they retain some of the animal’s abilities. Hannah was not a people person. Ronan can “taste” smells and can follow a heat trace. Josh has a superior sense of smell. Charlotte has superb vision. I tried to incorporate the biggest strength of the animal (as there are no dragons around, sadly, I used a little bit from many reptiles like snakes and big lizard for Ronan). 4) If you could transform into an animal, what would you choose and why? It depends. If it means what kind of shifter I’d be, then I definitely a werewolf. Minding my business and loyal only to my pack. But if I could pick one just because, then I’d pick the Great Horned Owl. Owls are amazing per se, and that one is a beast…. Now that I think of it, I have an opening for a shifter in the series. The Great Horned Owl might be what I need. Viv writes contemporary suspense as MacKade, and paranormal and fantasy romance as V.V. Strange.
In the breathtaking backdrop of the Pacific Northwest, MacKade captures all shades of love into her stories - its joy, passion, and darkness. Her husband and children are her biggest fans, and yes, she really doesn’t mind shoveling that snow. 1) Tell us about your book/series.
My series is named DARLING’S DAUGHTERS. It is about the tiny South African town, Darling. It has a small population of around five hundred people. About half of them are shapeshifters. The idea for this series was born from real-life local crossdresser, Evita Bezuidenhout, who bought the abandoned railway station in Darling and used the buildings to present satirical shows addressing political and societal issues. A crossdresser is as close to a shapeshifter as one can get in real life. Book 1, Diana, is about an artist student, the daughter of Rose Brown, a world-acclaimed fine artist. When Rose dies, the family is plunged into turmoil. Her stepfather, Tyler, tries to force Diana into signing a contract with his gallery. Her sister, Kim, intervenes. The two young women find themselves losing their mother, father, and home within a week. Diana returns to university to finish her studies, unsure of what she and Kim will do at the end of the year. In the middle of this chaos, something is happening to her body. Something strange. Diana writes it off to stress until she is confronted with the truth. She turns into a fox. Then Jan-Hendrik Lubbe enters her world. He invites her to South Africa, where her grandmother left them an estate and a sizable inheritance. One of the prerequisites for the inheritance is that they come to visit the town. Diana and Kim arrive to the open arms and hearts of the people of Darling. They fall in love and become the daughters of Darling. Yet, their father has ideas of his own. Book 2, Susanna, will be released on 30 April 2024. Susanna, or Sana to family and friends, is finishing her last year in school when she falls for the new girl, Mary. Sana was born and bred in Darling. She was only six when she first shifted. She inherited her shapeshifter genes from her mother, Gerda. They are Portia, from the species of Arachnida (jumping spiders). Everyone knows and loves her. After a tragic life-event, Sana leaves Darling and joins a traveling circus. She is looking forward to seeing new places and meeting new people. However, life with the circus isn’t what she expected. Life with David, the artist who trains her for their trapeze performance, isn’t a beautiful dream either. Can Sana find her way back to Darling? 2) What type of shifter features in your books? Book 1: Diana is a Fox shifter. Book 2: Susanna is a Portia (spider) shifter. Book 3: Mallindra is a Watersnake shifter. Book 4: Felicity is a Scorpion shifter. 3) What abilities do they have? Diana has excellent smelling, jumping, and running skills. She is agile and supple. She can wiggle through small spaces. Sana has excellent hearing and hunting skills. Being protective of those she loves is her superpower. She can fly in short bursts, cling to surfaces, and heal quickly. Summing up a dangerous situation, and planning an attack is also valuable Portia skills. 4) If you could transform into an animal, what would you choose and why? A lizard. They are resilient. They can rejuvenate themselves. They can regrow parts that are damaged or lost. Lizards thrive in all habitats. They are bold, agile, and crafty. Lizards are the kings of survival. |
