1) Tell us about your book - Imogene and the Pacific Kingdom
Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom is the first novel I've written - as such, it will always have a special place in my heart. 2) How long have you been writing and what inspired you to become an author? When my children were small, they were slightly reluctant to read, and writing a story for them inspired me to become an author. That was twelve years ago! 3) Do you write in one genre or several? I thoroughly enjoy writing for children and young adults - however the young adult novels I've written have been enjoyed by children of all ages, adults included. 4) Who are your favorite writers? I have so many favourite writers; C.S. Lewis, Jean M. Auel, James A. Michener, Ann Rule, Stephen King, to name a few. 5) What future books do you have planned? My illustrator is currently working on the cover for my second novel, Dager of the Tasman Empire, and it is due for release in time for Christmas, 2015. Jaylen of the Surface is currently in the works, and this will be the third novel, publication date as of yet undetermined - my website and Facebook pages will be updated accordingly!  This October I will be hosting Blood Moon Rising 2 on Facebook. This time there will be 30 authors taking part to share their stories and there will be some prizes too.

How could an entire community of loving mothers and fathers turn on their own in a day? And why? Either she must kill her parents or they will kill her, unless… Unless Molly stays alive long enough to unravel this conspiracy and answer the most important question of all: How do you stop the Filicide Program?  Sunny Beaumont is the daughter of the president and lives a privileged life in the city. An expert at computers and other technology, Sunny spends her downtime building things. When she decides to put together an old typewriter, she find the piece she needs at a dump. Unfortunately the dump is in the Ghetto, an area where the criminal element is sent.
When she attempts to sneak inside, Sunny is caught and held hostage by the Ghetto folk. Sunny gets the opportunity to see how the other side lives and what they go through to survive. While there she meets Sin, the leader, whom she starts to have feelings for. M. L. Sparrow once again creates a great lead character who is believable and enjoyable to read about. Sunny is tough and faces a difficult situation, but still finds compassion for the people in the Ghetto. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it. |
