Tempest Knox lives in Luna Bay, a small Island with a history of supernatural occurrences. Most of them caused by her family. She comes from a long line of witches. When her grandmother disappears, it's up to Tempest to clear out her house. She discovers her grandmother's spell book hidden in a trunk. Tempest has never believed the witch rumors and while drunk, she reads a love spell. The next morning she finds a naked man on the doorstep. Add to that a coven working out of the local tea shop and her grandmother's strange cat, and Tempest finds herself in over her head. Interview with Kat Gracey
1. Tell us about your book Rising Storm is the first book in the Tempest Knox series. Tempest comes from a long line of witches but doesn't know it in the beginning of the book. She's dealing with the disappearance of her grandmother and trying to keep her job. I tried to make her as real as possible. She isn't rich or successful and she hasn't come far since college. She's just a regular woman, living pay check to pay check and the these amazing things start happening to her, 2. What was your inspiration for the book? I love shows like Charmed and Witches of East End and I wanted to write something similar. But whereas The Charmed Ones are good and fight evil, Temepst's world isn't really black and white. The power in her family tends to corrupt them. 3. Will there be more books in the series? Yes, the next book will answer the question of Tempest's grandmother's disappearance. And there is a shock in store for Tempest. 4. Who was your favorite character to write about? Probably Will. He has a lot of layers and you don't know if he's good or bad, but I think even he doesn't know that. 5. Why should readers pick up your book? I think if you like magic, witches and shapeshifter then you will find this book enjoyable. Mackenzie Grey has started a brand new life in an attempt to escape the Brooklyn Pack. She settles in as a detective in a special unit of the LAPD when her identity is put at risk, and she has no choice but to run again. The question is: does she want to run forever? As events force Mackenzie to confront her past, she is met with many surprises—including the revelation of her true ancestry. When Packs across the country learn of who she is, Kenz becomes the object of desire in a deadly wolf hunt, and she must once again fight to keep her freedom. Witnessing first-hand the barbaric treatment of Lunas, Mackenzie has to make a choice—follow the prediction of her Vision Quest or let herself be CAGED... She's feisty, yet vulnerable; a woman, and yet a young girl. And with her discovery, she just might be Humanity's savior. Meet Sara Hill . . . Welcome to the Queen of Bones Group! The Queen of Bones is a the story of a young woman's fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic world where burning solar storms have reduced the human race to roving bands of murderous desperadoes. Sara Hill, young, beautiful, partially disabled, and alone, has made a discovery that could turn the tide of the coming extinction of the human race. But can she reach the fabled outpost where a few survivors are struggling to re-create civilization? Review:
In a world that has been destroyed by Sunthrobs, Sara Hill is one of the few survivors on her way to find a supposed settlement in Seattle. Along the way she runs into many people, some try to help her, others attack her. A strong and determined individual, Sara uses what she has to get by. It was interesting to read about a heroine with a disability. That is not used much in dystopian fiction, often the person who holds them back ends up dead. A great book that I would definitely recommend.

For Jessica the only thing tougher than fighting demons is fighting her attraction to Duncan. But with demons charging from the front, the underworld gunning from behind, and with a spy in their mist, Jessica’s fight for survival is just beginning.About Jill CooperI could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are. But instead, I’ll say I don’t want to write like everyone else. I don’t want to craft stories you’ve read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you’ve ever read. I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad. If you do, then I’ll have succeeded. If not, I’ll keep trying.Website | Twitter | Facebook | Pinterest | Newsletter
Review
Two sisters, one a fighter, the other a healer. The Blood sisters take down demons. Called to a small town, they face a horde who are using drugs to possess people. Jessica is pretty bad ass, she is no nonsense and will do anything to protect her sister. Amanda is an empath and healer and seems a little naive, but she cares about people and wants to help. There are obvious comparisons to Supernatural, but it's good to see a female version. Plenty of action and a good storyline. Very enjoyable. Silk
