Since the pandemic, Sybil Crewes hasn’t left home. She stopped her duties as an ATU agent (Anti-Terrorism Unit). But then, she got a disturbing phone call. Her friend, Harry Brown, has been kidnapped, and this forces Sybil out of her house. While doing so, she uncovers an illegal lab where they created a deadly COVID-19 variant that turns its victims into skinned zombies . She contacts the ATU to resume her duties as an ATU agent to stop the new threat and save the world from its undoing. Pandemic: Chaos is Bleeding is a fast-paced modern horror/thriller novel, and partly based on true events. 1) Tell us about your book
My book is about Sybil Crewes, a vampire who lives in Boston during the pandemic. She used to be working part-time as an ATU agent (Anti-Terrorism Unit), but since the pandemic, her heart isn’t into it anymore. She stayed indoors until one day she received a phone call her friend, and lover, Harry Brown has been kidnapped, and this forces her out of her house. She has to do some errands for the criminals behind the kidnap, and that’s when she uncovers an illegal lab where they created a deadly COVID-19 variant that turns its victims into skinned zombies. Sybil resumes her duties as an ATU agent to stop the new threat and save the world from its undoing. 2) What inspired you to write it? The news, actually. The pandemic controls our lives in so many ways. I asked myself: what if you’re a vampire during the pandemic? A vampire who refuses to drink human blood and buys pigs’ blood from the butcher—until he closed shop because of the pandemic. And then there was this lame-duck president making the dangerous suggestion you could use bleach to kill the coronavirus on local television. Enough material to write about… 3) Is it part of a series? All my books are standalone stories. But the characters live on to the next book. 4) Tell us one unique thing about your main character Sybil Crewes is a vampire who wants to be human. She clips her fangs, is hooked on liquid silver (to eat solid food) and hates other vampires. 5) What is next for you? That depends on what happens in the news. When something catches my attention, I will search for more background information. After I have collected enough material, I will start with my next book. To me, writing is a big adventure.
