Ghost Stories

Ghost stories are famous the world over, every culture has their own. Here are a few you may have heard of:

• The Flying Dutchman - this famous ship was sunk after the captain challenged God to take him and his crew down. Which he promptly did. The ship is still seen on the water as a see through object.
• Stanley Hotel - Made famous by the movie The Shining, the Stanley Hotel has its fair share of ghosts and it was a night spent here which gave Stephen King the idea for the Shining. Music can be heard and children running through the halls. Creepy.
• Alcatraz - Back when it was still in operation, Alcatraz was said to be haunted by someone dressed in 19th Century clothing. One prisoner claimed to have been attacked by the ghost and was later found strangled.
• Amityville - The inspiration for many movies, Amityville is home to several gruesome murders after Ronald DeFeo Jr shot his whole family in their beds in 1974. After claiming that he heard voices, rumours started to spread. The Lutz family moved in next and claimed to have had many creepy experiences.
