Books With Bite - Interview With S. K. Gregory

1) Tell us about your book 

This is a dark fantasy Peter Pan retelling featuring vampires. Darcy runs away when her father tries to marry her off, boarding a ship. When it goes down, she is washed up on a strange island. She soon finds that she is not the only one on the island and the inhabitants are hungry. 

2) Do your vampires have any special abilities? 

While it is daylight on the island, there is no direct sunlight so they are moving around freely. They are tied to the island and cannot leave unless the captain allows them too. New vampires do not have to be bitten to turn, they can be turned by stepping onto the captain's ship - as they are now damned.

3) Vampires vs werewolves – who would win and why? 

I think vampires are fast so they could probably kill a werewolf faster than it could react. But if a werewolf caught a vampire off guard, it could do a lot of damage. 

4) Who is your favorite vampire on TV or in books? 

He wasn't one for long, but Doc Holliday in Wynonna Earp. It was an interesting storyline, but I felt like the cancellation knocked it off course. 

5) Tell us what is next for you as an author 

I am working on a new series featuring a sorceress with incredibly bad luck thanks to a curse. She has a demon tethered to her who keeps her alive. I hope to get the first book out in a few months time.
